OUR PROCESS

SUCCESS STARTS WITH A PLAN

We are adamant about delivering a spot-on product that makes you successful. To achieve that goal, our first step is working with you to develop a plan for the project. Having clearly defined objectives and actions not only saves you both time and money, it also ensures as on-time and on-budget delievery of your production.

There are essentially three phases to a production. Each phase is an important element of a successful outcome.

Pre-Production

The first step in the process is all about preparation and setting the groundwork for the project.
A pre-production meeting is essential to do the planning, research, problem-solving, and organization necessary to ensure the success of your production.

The pre-production phase includes:

  • Project goals and rollout strategy
  • Scope and budget
  • Story theme, music theme
  • Project timeline
  • Script development for videos
  • Establishing key speakers/events for photo shoot
  • Establishing talent/characters for video
  • Equipment needs
  • Location(s)

Production

The meetings have resulted in a solid plan, and it’s time to start producing. The production phase involves capturing the footage or stills, as well as interviews that develop your story and bring it to life.

The production phase includes:

  • Setting up the lighting, video/photo equipment
  • Conducting interviews
  • Recording voiceovers (if required for your project)
  • Capturing b-roll (extra footage that supports your story)

Post-Production

During the post-production phase, our video/photo editing team will begin to organize, plan, and edit the actual video or photo shoot.

When an initial draft of the video or online contact sheet of photos is ready for review, it’s time for your project point person and key stakeholders to step back in action. Assuming that there will be edits, the revision process can begin. The number of revisions will have been defined in the budgeting process.

Once the project is finalized and approved, it’s time for exporting to pre-defined formats (social media, web, etc.), and launch.

The production phase includes:

  • Video/photo editing
  • Sound editing
  • Colour correction
  • Reviews/approvals
  • Delivery and launch
